Your 2016 IRS 1099-R Forms Have Been Mailed

The 1099-R form is mailed to retirees and others who receive a distribution from the Retirement Fund, including terminated employees who receive a refund of their contributions and interest. If you took an Actuarial Lump Sum when you retired and/or if you took DROP money upon or after retirement, you may receive more than one 1099-R form. You will need all 1099-R forms when you file your tax return.

This diagram gives a brief description of the information reported on your 1099-R form.

(NOTE: If you did not receive your 1099-R form , it might be that your address is incorrect in Retirement Fund files. Be sure you have a current address on file so future mail is not delayed. On this website, you can print a Change of Address form (under Forms), fill it out and mail or bring it to the office. Or, if you are registered for the Member Portal, you can change your address online. Please remember that changing your address with the U.S. Postal Service is not the same as changing it with the Fund. If you have moved, please change your address with the Fund as soon as possible.)
