The Fort Worth Employees’ Retirement Fund is pleased to present an educational seminar by Greg McNeese, Investigator with the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s White Collar/Public Integrity Unit, on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, 10:30 a.m., in the Board Room of the Retirement Fund, 3801 Hulen Street, Suite 101.
The seminar, Elder Financial Fraud: Protecting Yourself, Protecting Your Family, will include how to avoid being victimized; telephone and mail scams; sweepstakes and contests; money order fraud; bank account scams and email phishing; sweetheart scam red flags; and what to do if you or someone you love is a victim of this type of crime.
Mr. McNeese is part of Speakers on the Road, an education service of Tarrant County, and is an expert on protecting the elderly. A 42-year Texas law enforcement officer, Mr. McNeese has worked with the District Attorney’s Office for 11 years in the white collar crime and elder fraud units. Prior to his move to Tarrant County, he was a criminal investigator with the Texas Department of Public Safety, and retired as Lieutenant of the Criminal Intelligence Service.
We hope you will join us to learn more about this important topic, whether for your own benefit or for that of your parents or other elderly family members or friends. The seminar is free and will last about an hour. We ask that you RSVP (only if attending) so we will have enough seats for everyone. Contact MaryKay.Glass@fwretirement.org or call 817-632-8906.
