Steve Purvis 1 - WebSteve Purvis was appointed by the Fort Worth City Council to represent Place 11 in June 2022. He has spent his entire career in the investment industry. He recently retired from Luther King Capital Management (LKCM), an investment advisory firm located in Fort Worth.

During his 26-plus years at LKCM, he was a Principal, Portfolio Manager, and previously served a Research Analyst and as the Director of Research. His primary responsibility was managing small-cap-focused portfolios for institutional clients, including foundations, endowments, pension plans, and mutual funds. He continues to serve on the LKCM Mutual Funds Board as a Trustee. 

Steve holds both a bachelor's degree and master's degree in business administration from the University of Missouri. He achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1991. 

Steve is currently the Chair of the Investment Committee for a local foundation. In addition, Steve serves as a board director for both public and private companies, and continues to be an active investor.

Steve and his wife live in Fort Worth and have four grown children. He serves on the Audit & Budget Committee and the Investment Committee.
