Place 3 Election Results

Board - 3 - Loraine Coleman - CopyIncumbent Loraine Coleman will continue to serve as representative for Place 3 on the Retirement Fund Board of Trustees, following a run-off election. The results were announced at the January 26 board meeting.

The run-off was required after no candidate received 50 percent of the votes in the initial election, which concluded in December. The two candidates who received the most votes were eligible for the run-off. Voting was held January 3-21, 2022.

Place 3 represents active employees in Group C, which consists of the following departments: City Manager, City Secretary, Communications & Public Engagement, Financial Management Services, Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion, Internal Audit, Law, Municipal Courts, Development Services, Planning & Data Analytics, Water and Wastewater, and non-Civil Service Employees of the Police Department.

The Retirement Fund Board has 13 trustees, who are responsible for overall investment decisions of the Fund and helping set actuarial assumptions. Trustees do not control changes to benefits, which are determined by the Fort Worth City Council. For more information about the Retirement Fund or the Board, email ask@fwretirement.org or call 817-632-8900.

FWERF extends its congratulations to Coleman on her accomplishment. And we offer our gratitude to all the candidates who participated, and especially to all the members who voted in the first election and in the run-off.
