New Board Leaders Announced

Wilson represents Place 9. He was appointed to the Board by the Fort Worth City Council in 2021. Now retired, he worked in the banking industry, including 35 years with Frost Bank. In addition to serving on the Fund’s board, he serves on the board of Trinity Terrace, a not-for-profit continuing care retirement center, as well as on the board of its parent company, Pacific Retirement Services, Inc., headquartered in Medford, Oregon. He and his wife Cheryl are active members of Christ Chapel in Fort Worth.
Wright represents Place 4, Active General Employee Group D. She was elected to the Fund’s Board of Trustees in 2018. She serves as Assistant Director over Fiscal & Administrative Services for the City’s Public Events Department, where her duties include managing five operating funds totaling more than $75 million. Wright also participates with the HLO, MLK, and Juneteenth committees. She is an active member of the National Forum of Black Public Administrators and serves on the Nominating Committee. She also is on the Nominating Committee of the Fort Worth City Credit Union.
“Board service has been very rewarding,” Wilson said. “I’ve learned a lot about how the Fund operates, the importance of the mission and the dedication of the staff. Of course, there is always more to learn, but with the support of my fellow trustees and the staff, I’m confident we can build on the great work done by my predecessors and continue to provide excellent service to our members.”
