Eleza Bennett Appointed Interim Executive Director

Eleza Bennett 2022 Headshot - Web The Fort Worth Employees’ Retirement Fund Board of Trustees has appointed Eleza Bennett to serve as Interim Executive Director of the Fund. The announcement was made following the board’s regularly scheduled meeting on September 28.

Bennett has been with the Fund since 2015 and has served as benefits manager since 2021. She fills the role vacated by Benita Falls Harper, who departed to accept an executive-level position with Aon, an international consulting firm. Read Benita’s farewell column here.

Bennett, who has been serving as Benefits Manager, has been with the Fund since 2015. She started out working as a Member Services Assistant, and later was promoted to Member Services Specialist and then to Benefits Analyst. She was promoted to Benefits Manager in 2021.

Board Chair Wilson spoke positively about the transition. “Benita has been an outstanding asset to our organization, and we greatly appreciate the fine leadership that she provided,” he said.


“At the same time, we are pleased to have Eleza serve as Interim Executive Director. I think she will provide real continuity during the interim, ensuring that the Fund continues to provide members with the same level of excellent service they have always received. I’m excited and confident about the coming months, and I hope the staff and members feel the same way.”

The Board will announce plans regarding the search for a permanent replacement at a later date.
